Bennett is the co-chief of the Portland Critics Association. From 2022 to 2024, he served as assistant arts and culture editor at Willamette Week. He has also written for Oregon ArtsWatch, The Oregonian, and T.H.O. Movie Reviews, which he founded and ran for over a decade. Follow him @bcfonfilm.

Dom is a writer, editor, and current film critic at the Portland Mercury, as well as a contributor to Paste Magazine and reformed music critic. He grew up in Michigan, but found his way to the Pacific Northwest in 2008 following a formal liberal arts education in Chicago, which prepared him to found a blog about Werner Herzog called the Werner Herzblog.

Tyler Doupe’ is a staff writer at Dread Central. He also works as a contributor at ComicBook. He is the co-editor of the book ‘Queer Horror: A Film Guide’. His past bylines include: Fangoria Mag, Rue Morgue Mag, Scream: The Horror Mag, SyFy Wire, ComingSoon.Net, and more. Chance Solem-Pfeifer is an arts journalist and film critic. He hosts “The Kick” podcast on the Now Playing Network and writes regularly for Oregon publications like Willamette Week and The Daily Astorian. Find his previous essays and podcasts on The Playlist, Paste, and Pop Matters. He is always game to talk Oregon Westerns, Jaws, or sports romances. 

Molly Henery is a film critic, entertainment writer, and author of both nonfiction and fiction with a Master’s degree in professional creative writing. Molly began writing horror film reviews in 2015 for her own website, The Blogging Banshee, before eventually branching out and writing for other outlets including Fangoria, Dread Central, Nightmarish Conjurings, and more. She is most well-known for her “Uterus Horror” column on Certified Forgotten which examines a different film each month in a subgenre of horror that Molly named and defined. Molly has established herself as a horror genre expert which has allowed her to be a guest on numerous podcasts and she co-authored the Rondo Award nominated book, Queer Horror: A Film Guide.

Patrick started reviewing movies 15 years ago because he had no one to talk to about film, and now, no one wants to talk to him about anything (but it’ll take more than that to stop him!). Having covered festivals like Sundance, SXSW, and Fantastic Fest, he now watches a lot of movies with his dog, meaning he never has to tell her it’s rude to text.

Marc spent his early childhood living in a mobile home park next to a drive-in theater, so it only stands to reason he grew into a movie nut. After nearly 20 years writing for The Oregonian, he now produces a weekly film column for the nonprofit Oregon Arts Watch focusing on regional and arthouse cinema.

David Harris writes music and film criticism for Spectrum Culture (where he is also editor-in-chief) and SPIN. He teaches writing and film studies at an independent high school in downtown Portland.

Edmund Stone has been in radio broadcasting for 50 years. His first work relating to the film industry was as a film critic for a British newspaper. He then went to work with the BBC and was sent to Hollywood to cover the film industry. His background as a classical trained Shakespearean actor and working in Hollywood has given him unique insights into the profession. For more than a quarter century he has hosted classical music on All Classical 89.9 FM, and his syndicated show The Score, dedicated to music from the movies, is heard by more than a million listeners every week.

A Portland native; UO, Cinemonkey magazine, Willamette Week (1985-1995), PDXS, Portland Mercury briefly, KQAC, KBOO until at least yesterday, about eight books on R. Crumb, Tarantino, and Guy Maddin.

Mike is the producer & host of the movie podcast “Scene This.” His passion for film began in his hometown of Los Angeles where he grew up on TCM & studied Film, TV & Media at Cal State LA. In 2020 he moved to the PNW where he’s fallen in love with the film and independent theatre culture in Portland.
